How to play
Which Station?
You see the lines that run through a mystery station. Name the station.
Every question has one right answer: each station in this game is the only one in zones 1 and 2 with that exact set of lines. Type your answer and pick it from the list.
A wrong guess costs nothing. You'll see which lines your guess actually has, which often points you to the right one.
Scoring
- A correct answer with no hints scores 4 points.
- Each hint costs 1 point: line names, zone, letter count. First letter costs 2 because it also shows the letter count.
- A correct answer always scores at least 1 point.
- Reveal shows the answer and scores nothing.
Saving your progress
Your run saves after every answer, so you can close the page and carry on later from the same station. Your best score and the stations you've named are kept too. All of this stays in your browser on this device.
What counts as a station
One name on the map is one station.
- Where stations have different names, they count separately, even if you can change between them. Bank and Monument are two stations; so are Shepherd's Bush and Shepherd's Bush Market.
- Where two separate stations share a name, they're split and labelled: Edgware Road (Bakerloo) and Edgware Road (Circle, District, H&C), the two Hammersmiths, and Bethnal Green (Central) and Bethnal Green (Weaver).
- Where one name covers several lines, such as Paddington, Stratford or Canary Wharf, it's one station with all of those lines.
Which lines are included
All Underground lines, the Elizabeth line, the DLR and the six Overground lines. Trams, the cable car, Thameslink and other National Rail services aren't included. On the line graphic, Underground lines are solid and the others are hollow.
